Gill Beck, a lovely pink-washed Cumbrian cottage is located in the prettiest part of Caldbeck beside the Cald Beck. Access by foot is over the little white bridge and by car down a short driveway with parking outside the cottage.

Caldbeck, a village with all amenities, is far removed from the traffic and crowds of the South Lakes but is a vibrant community with a village green complete with duck pond, school, 12th century church, pub, 2 cafes, a doctor's surgery, a hairdresser and even a clog maker!

Good for both fell and easier walking, the Cumbria Way goes through the village and the Reivers and Coast to Coast Cycle Routes pass nearby.

High Pike and Carrock are adjacent and the peaks of Blencathra and Skiddaw within easy reach.
