Caldbeck, Cumbria's best kept secret, is an oasis of peace and quiet, far removed from the bustle of the South Lakes tourist centres but within easy reach of Bassenthwaite Lake, Keswick, Penrith, the Solway and the North Lakeland fells. It is an ideal spot for relaxing, walking or cycling - the Cumbria Way passes through the village and the Reivers Route and Coast to Coast cycle routes are close by.

Alongside its tranquillity and charm Caldbeck has everything to make your holiday enjoyable. A village green complete with duck pond, a 12th Century village church, a traditional Lakeland pub, two cafes, a well-stocked village store and Post Office, a doctor's surgery, a hairdresser and even a clog maker, all within easy walking distance so no need to use the car!
